Happy New Year!
Little Lizzies has transformed into a space station for January, with the children enjoying a huge variety of intergalactic activities over the past few weeks.
We created a wonderful mini universe for sensory play, using white and black rice, foil stars, mini planets – and even the odd robot or two! This has been wonderful for group and independent play – you can see how much all the children have loved it!
The younger children have also loved the creative learning during this topic. They absolutely loved using foil as a paintbrush to recreate the surface of the moon and their fingers to create the Earth!
The playroom has become the Command Centre complete with a rocket ship ready for launch that all the children at Little Lizzies have enjoyed customising to inform their own imaginative play.
This ongoing topic has been a brilliant way to merge science, play, and creativity. This week continues the theme with marble planet art and a space quiz for all our budding astronauts to test their knowledge!
